Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions for Bike Plates Direct

  • These terms and conditions govern all transactions conducted by Bike Plates Direct, hereinafter referred to as the ‘Company’.
  • Any individual procuring bespoke goods from the ‘Company’ shall henceforth be termed the ‘Purchaser’.
  • Your statutory rights remain

Section 13 of the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 (Statutory Instrument 200 No.2334) stipulates that no cancellations are accepted once an order has been placed, whether through internet, telephone, or mail. Consequently, there exists no ‘cooling-off period’, and transactions are irreversible with no provision for refunds. Thus, it falls solely upon the Purchaser to ensure the accurate submission of all details through Company Internet forms. As per Distance Selling Regulations, the Company must notify customers that our service commences upon receipt of an online order.

Delivery

Due to constraints imposed by our delivery partner, Saturday delivery cannot be guaranteed.

Delivery timeframes serve as estimates and do not guarantee specific arrival times.

We shall not be held liable for delivery delays attributable, directly or indirectly, to issues arising from or associated with our chosen delivery partner.

Therefore, we are unable to offer refunds or compensation for such delays. All orders are dispatched via our designated couriers. Orders placed before

5pm are dispatched the same day, while those placed after 5pm on a Friday are dispatched the following Monday (unless it coincides with a bank holiday, in

which case dispatch will be on Tuesday). Express orders must be placed before 2pm.

We disclaim liability if an incorrect delivery method is selected by the Purchaser.

Selection of a UK delivery method while providing a non-UK address renders us not liable.

We bear no responsibility for incorrect shipping addresses provided during ordering. In the event of suspected address inaccuracies, we will attempt contact. Failure to reach the Purchaser may result in order delay until contact is established.

Courier-defined lost items are deemed such only after 14 days from posting. We absolve ourselves of responsibility for any lost items. Replacement of lost items is at our discretion and shall be dispatched accordingly.

Refunding or replacing lost or stolen goods in transit necessitates a full postal investigation and determination of fault. Refunds or replacements may be delayed until postal insurance settlements are finalized.

Email and SMS Marketing

We value communication with our customers and may utilise personal data, depending on marketing preferences, to send tailored marketing messages via email and SMS. These communications may reflect individual website behaviour, purchase activity, and other data in our possession.

To cease receipt of marketing communications, customers may adjust preferences at any time by contacting us or utilising the ‘unsubscribe’ link in any email. Please note, unsubscribing from marketing does not preclude receipt of transactional messages, such as order and delivery updates, and information regarding legal rights.

Purchases

Transactions are irreversible, and refunds are not provided. The Company bears no responsibility if the Purchaser seeks to cancel or modify an order.

In cases where fault lies with the Company, full refunds are issued, provided the fault is not attributable to the Purchaser.

Our liability is limited to full refunds only; claims for damages, interest on payments, or other expenses are not entertained.

While we try to expedite goods dispatch, specific timeframes cannot be guaranteed. The Company disclaims responsibility for delays or errors arising from postal systems or third-party carriers beyond our control.

In the unlikely event of plates arriving damaged or faulty, please return them for inspection by our technicians. Damaged or faulty plates identified as such will be remanufactured and dispatched, subject to our discretion. Our plate building materials ensure compliance with necessary quality standards mandated by law.

Plates supplied by the company ( Bike Plates Direct) are Show Registration Plates which are made and supplied for “off road” use only, car shows exhibitions, private land etc, where the law does not apply. Due to the strict restrictions of trade given by the UKs ‘DVLA’ all plates, including legal style layout or full design control are sold to the Purchaser on the basis of being for show use only and the Purchaser may risk prosecution if the registration plates are used on UK highways.

It is the purchasers responsibility to make sure all selection of spacing on the plate is compliant with relevant regulations..

Showplates are by their nature personalised products therefore refunds or returns are not valid if you change your mind or don’t like the received items. The online plate builder gives an example of the plate design and look you have chosen. The plates supplied by the company will resemble closely the image shown. They may though have slight differences due to website software limitations.

Refunds or returns are not applicable if the Purchaser changes their mind or is dissatisfied with the received items since showplates are inherently personalised products. The online plate builder provides an approximation of the selected design, closely resembling the final product. Slight variations may occur due to limitations of website software.
