Wondering how to fit your motorbike plate? You’ve come to the right place – you’ll have your plate fitted in no time. Depending on your preference, you have two options – fitting with sticky pads or fitting your bike plate with screws.
How to fit your motorbike plate with sticky pads (RECOMMENDED – EASY)
Tools you’ll need
- Three Sticky Pads from fitting kit
- A Phillips Screwdriver
How to Fit
- Remove the caps on your existing bike plate
- Unscrew the screws affixing the old plate
- Once you have removed your old motorcycle plate, take the three sticky pads from your fitting kit and stick to your new number plate in three equally spaced positions horizontally – one at each end and one in the middle.
- Plan and align where you want your new bike plate to go
- Carefully remove the second layer of backing from the sticky pads so the adhesive pads are tacky and ready to be affixed.
- Press the plate firmly to the motorcycle to stick
How to fit your motorbike plate with screws (Harder)
Tools you’ll need:
- A Drill
- A Phillips Screwdriver
How to Fit
- Remove the caps on your existing bike plate.
- Unscrew the screws affixing the old plate
- Place the old bike plate on top of your new one and use it as a guide to measure where the holes need to be drilled (into the new plate). Then lay the new plates face up and the old ones on top – drill through the holes and into your new motorbike plates.
- Fix the plate to your motorbike using the screws. Tighten to affix securely.
- Place the caps over the screws and press firmly
